Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
How we scope, price, build, and support work — and what we need from you to get started. If your question is not here, ask it directly.
What does S3A Technologies actually do?
We are a digital studio working across four practices: technology (websites, web applications, mobile apps, e-commerce, LMS), design (UI/UX, design systems, illustration), marketing (SEO, AEO, PPC, ORM, social, content), and brand creation. Most engagements combine more than one — a brand identity that leads into a website, or a build that leads into a growth program.
Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside Mumbai?
The studio is based in Mumbai, India. The work is not limited to the city — projects run remotely over email, calls, and shared documents, and several of our case studies are for clients we have never sat in a room with. If you are local, we are happy to meet in person.
How does a project usually run?
Four stages, which is where Observe, Create, Shape, Shine comes from. We start by understanding the business, the audience, and what is currently not working. We then produce a direction, refine it with you, and build. Nothing is handed over as a surprise at the end — you see the work as it takes shape.
What does a project cost?
It depends on scope, and we would rather quote accurately than publish a number that is wrong for your situation. A single-page campaign site, a full e-commerce build, and an ongoing marketing retainer are very different pieces of work. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will come back with a scoped estimate.
How long does a website take?
The honest answer is that it depends more on decision speed and content readiness than on build time. Small marketing sites move quickly; applications, e-commerce, and LMS platforms take longer because there is more to specify and test. We will give you a timeline with the estimate, and tell you which parts depend on you.
Do you build on WordPress or custom code?
Both, depending on what the project needs. WordPress and WooCommerce are a good fit when you want to manage content and products yourself. Custom builds make sense when the requirements are specific enough that a CMS would fight you — CRM and ERP integrations, portals, and applications in Java, PHP, Laravel, React, or Angular.
Can you build an online store?
Yes. We build e-commerce on WooCommerce and on custom stacks, including catalogue structure, payment and shipping integration, and the product photography and creative that goes around it. We have handled made-to-order commerce, which has different rules from standard retail — see the knowledge article on selling made-to-order.
Do you develop mobile apps?
Yes — native Android and iOS, plus hybrid and Ionic builds where a shared codebase is the better trade. We built the Shikshak Education App. Which approach is right depends on what the app has to do and how much device-level capability it needs.
What is ORM, and does my business need it?
Online reputation management is the work of shaping what people find when they search for you — reviews, listings, and the results that sit alongside your own site. It matters most when buying decisions involve trust: clinics, hospitality, education, and professional services. If your search results are already clean and your reviews are healthy, you may not need it yet.
Do you do SEO, and what about AI search?
Yes to both. Traditional SEO covers technical health, on-page structure, and content. Answer Engine Optimisation is the newer discipline of being quotable to AI assistants and answer engines, which surface sources differently from a ranked list of links. They overlap, and we treat them as one program rather than two invoices.
Can you build or migrate an LMS?
Yes. We are Moodle integrators and have moved schools and training providers online, including custom LMS work, admin portals, and school management. The Lords Education case study covers what that migration involved end to end.
What happens after launch?
We do not disappear at go-live. Support and maintenance arrangements are agreed per project — some clients want a hands-off retainer covering updates, monitoring, and content changes; others take the site in-house and call us when they need something. Tell us which you prefer and we will scope it in from the start.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Usually yes, and we would rather you could. For CMS-based builds we hand over the admin along with a walkthrough of how to edit content safely. For custom applications, we agree up front which parts are editable by your team and which should stay under version control.
How do we start?
Email us at info@s3atechnos.com, call +91 9833129506, or use the contact form. The useful first message is short: what your business does, what is not working, and roughly when you need it live. We will come back with questions before we come back with a number.
